Dior Star foundation review

My foundation collection is forever growing, but it was only recently when I discovered the amazing Dior star foundation. This is a brightening foundation which feels really light on the skin, the coverage is enough to cover up any redness or blemishes without feeling to thick on the skin. This foundation has a two-dimensional light formula which gives the skin a beautiful glow without it looking shiny.

Before

After

The best way I have found to apply this foundation is with a beauty blender as it leaves the skin looking so radiant and smooth. After applying the foundation your skin looks flawless without looking like you have to much make up on.

A lot of foundations that say there long lasting never seem to last longer than a couple of hours but I have really found this one to be very long lasting on my skin without having to set it with a setting powder. Another thing which is good about the Dior star foundation is the 12 shades to choose from all of which adapt to you original skin tone.

Orelia Jewellery

Recently I was very kindly sent some beautiful pieces of jewellery from Orelia through etail PR. Orelia is well known as being a jewellery concession within Topshop selling some really lovely pieces of costume jewellery. A lot of the jewellery is created using Swarovski crystals and semi precious stones.

I received these two really beautiful and dainty bracelets with delicate detailing. One has a pink cord with gold and pink beading, The other one is a layered bracelet which has a pink cord with a gold bar detailing and a gold plated fine chain.

MAC Cinderella review

As you may know, last week MAC released a Cinderella limited edition line of makeup in the UK online (in-stores next week). I have been looking forward to the release of this collection for so long as I am so obsessed with everything Disney and the line just looked absolutely beautiful, So as soon as I got an email informing me of the release I went online to buy myself a few goodies. Unfortunately the lipstick I originally wanted was already sold out after 20 minutes but I managed to get my hands on another lipstick and face powder.

Firstly the packaging which the collection came in is as beautiful as the product itself. The packaging is in light blue with gold detailing which is such a lovely combination of colours for this range.

I managed to get my hands on the beautiful Iridescent face powder in the shade Coupe D'Chic which is something I had been eying up ever since I saw pictures of the collection. This is a really pretty and delicate pink powder perfect for a subtle blush to the cheeks or can be used over the top of another blusher to add a gorgeous sparkle to the cheeks.

The other product I brought from the collection is a lipstick called Free as a Butterfly. Sadly this isn't the original lipstick which I wanted to buy but I thought I would buy it and see what it was like in person. This is a shimmery nude lipstick which is more on the brown side than the pink side which I am still a bit unsure about as it looks almost gold. When I swatched this product it was very very sheer and had very little colour to it so if you are looking for a nude lipstick but also adds a slight touch of colour then I wouldn't recommend this as it just leaves a sheer sparkle to the lips.

February Favourites

I have been trying lots of new products in February some of which have really impressed me, others not so much. I have found 7 products which I am very fond of and will be using a lot more in the future.

The first product is a skincare product and is the St Ives apricot gentle scrub. This product is an apricot scented exfoliator and I have found this really good for my skin to help with any breakouts.

The next product is a fragrance and it is the Ted Baker Dolly perfume which smells absolutely amazing, by far my favourite scent at the moment. The only down side is that they only come in 10ml bottles, perfect for your handbag but doesn't last very long as an everyday perfume.

I have had this next product for quite a while but only recently started using again. It is the Kat Von D lock n load setting spray which just makes your make up last so long.

This is quite an old product which everyone talks about already but I was a bit late on the bandwagon. This is the Duo eyelash adhesive in clear white. Whenever I wore false eyelashes I just tended to use the mini glues in the pack but when I was recommended this I was amazed how different it was and how long it made the eye lashes last and it didn't irritate my skin at all.

Recently I have loved trying out new mascara and I had seen so many people starting to feature this product in their youtube videos so I thought I would give it a go. It is the Maybelline Lash Sensation mascara and it makes your eye lashes so thick and full without them looking clumpy at all.

Every time I go into TK Maxx I can't help but look in the makeup and toiletries section where you can sometimes find some really good products at very reasonable prices like this Illamasqua nail polish for only £3.99 and is the shade Velocity. I'm not usually very keen on purple nail polishes but this is such a nice wearable purple suitable for everyday wear.

The final product which has stood out to me in February is the MUA undress your skin highlighter which again a lot of people have mentioned but I have been loving highlighters lately so I couldn't really help myself especially when I saw the price (£3). It is so pigmented and shimmery, looks absolutely beautiful on the tops of the cheek bone.
