Skin care routine

I have very temperamental skin, which sometimes decides to be lovely and clear but can also leave me blemishes for months on end.
I have never really had a skin care routine which I have loved and stuck to - but now this is no longer the case.
When it comes to taking my makeup off at night I have ditched the unhygienic makeup wipes and said hello to the well sought after Garnier Micellar Water. Garnier have come out with many different types of Micellar Water and the one I reached for was the oil infused one as oil breaks down makeup a lot easier. I use the Micellar Water with the Boots double faced oval pads as they are so soft on your skin and takes all your makeup of so easily and gently.

Once I have removed my make up with the Micellar Water I use the Elizabeth Arden Hydra-Splash Alcohol free face toner, again I use this on the Boots cotton pads to remove the last bits of makeup lingering on the skin.

Finally for my night time skin care I use L’oreal Extraordinary face oil which comes with a little droplet which helps you get the perfect amount you need without wasting any of the product. This is the perfect product to use before you go to bed because you wake up feeling really refreshed and like your skin has had a deep nourishment overnight.

On some evenings I will use the Korres Wild Rose Peeling Face Mask which adds that extra bit of moisture to the skin as well as brightens, I try to use this 2 evenings a week after I have removed my make up and used my face toner.

The only thing I do in the morning is moisturise my skin with Korres Watercress Ultra Nourishing Moisturising Cream which leaves my skin feeling really nourished and gives my skin a nice base for when I do my makeup.

Smart casual night out outfit

We all have the same issue when it comes to a night out and told the dress code is ‘smart casual’, what does that really mean...?
Well here's an outfit ideas for those nights out where you don’t want to turn up in jeans and trainers but also don’t want to look to dressy.

Jumpsuit - Primark
Shoes - River Island
Bag - New Look

I'm back!

I have finally got round to blogging again.
Over the past few months I have completed an apprenticeship in live events and promotion and gotten a part time job as an events and fundraising assistant therefore giving me more time to get back into blogging. Since my last blog post I have also got into fitness again, going to the gym and weekly Pilates classes so you can expect to see more fitness inspired posts in the future.
Also whilst I have been away from my blog I have been visiting some lovely places inside and outside of the UK like New York, Amsterdam, Lanzarote and Oxford.

Here’s a few pictures from my travels...

Christmas markets in Berlin (Better late than never)

At the end of December myself and my boyfriend took a trip to Berlin. We had heard so many amazing things about the christmas markets out there that we decided we had to experience them for ourselves (which you must do at some point).

We only stayed for 2 nights so we made the most of our trip and went to as many markets as possible. We stayed in the Park Inn by Raddison hotel which was in such a central location which meant we could walk to almost everyone we had intended to go.

There were so many Christmas markets around Berlin which was so lovely to see so soon after christmas.

We also had 2 lovely meals in Berlin which were at a restaurant called Mio and a restaurant called Heat, both of which I highly recommend if you're going to the Alenxandraplatz area of Berlin. Throughout the trip we tried lots of different German foods, some of which I loved and others not so much but it's all part of the fun of visiting different countries.

As soon as we arrived at the hotel we couldn't help but notice the very tall television tower so we made a point of going up it on the evening of our two year anniversary where we experienced some of the most fantastic views.

Overall it was a fantastic trip and I recommend visiting German over the christmas period to everyone - 100% worth the cold weather!
